Temporary Employees: What are the advantages of working temporary assignments?

As a temporary employee, you have many employment advantages, like being in control of your own schedule, and working as often or as infrequently as you want. You also can gain clinical experience in a variety of settings.

Do I have to work full time?

No, you can work as much or as little as you want. However, once you commit to an assignment, you are required to fulfill the terms of that assignment.

Who is my employer -- 360 Healthcare Staffing or the company where I actually work?

360 Healthcare Staffing will be your employer. You will not be considered an employee of any company to which you are assigned.

What kind of experience do I need to be an effective temporary employee?

To succeed as a temporary employee, you must have the experience, maturity and discipline to step into an unfamiliar job and setting, immediately assume a workload, and develop relationships with the other healthcare professionals in your assigned facility. In addition, 360 Healthcare Staffing will require that you have a specified number of years of experience in your chosen field since the company you're assigned to is already short-staffed and supervision may be minimal.

As a temporary employee, do I qualify for benefits?

If you are willing to accept an assignment of at least 13 weeks in duration, you are eligible for a wide selection of benefits. We offer free first day single-coverage medical and dental insurance to our employees who accept local/travel assignments, as well as free life and AD&D insurance. You may be eligible for other benefits, such as travel reimbursement and assignment completion bonuses. Our employees' total compensation packages are customized for each individual's needs.

What are the advantages of being a “travel” temporary employee?

Travel jobs put you in different locales across the country, and you generally will work for a longer period of time than a strictly temporary employee. When you choose a travel career, you have the opportunity to explore the country as well as expand your professional skills in a variety of healthcare settings.

What is the difference between a temporary assignment and a travel assignment?

A temporary assignment is within your local area and may consist of assignments at one or more companies. A travel assignment is a commitment to temporarily travel to another city or state to work for an agreed period of time (usually 13 weeks). Each contracted assignment includes the facility, shift and work environment that matches your specialty and skill level.

Can I interview potential candidates?

Yes. For direct hires, we arrange a telephone interview followed by a personal interview between you and the prospective employee. For travel contract staff, we arrange telephone interviews. Whether travel, direct hire or temporary staff, we interview and screen each healthcare professional to determine that he or she meets our high clinical, professional and personal standards.

What quality assurance measures does 360 Healthcare Staffing follow?

360 Healthcare Staffing maintains current, complete personnel files for all employees that meet state, federal and OSHA requirements. If you need additional information about an employee prior to or during a survey, we can provide the requested information promptly.
