Travelers of the Month

Elizabeth L.
RNAC
Traveler of the Month - April 2010
Elizabeth L. has always dreamed of having the opportunity to
travel and live in different parts of the country. Thanks to her
relationship with 360 Healthcare Staffing, she has been able to
realize that dream.
“I find that there are friendly wonderful people wherever I go,”
she says. “There are also many beautiful places to see and explore.
It’s a win-win situation for me.”
Elizabeth has worked as an RNAC for 360 Healthcare Staffing
since 2008. In this position, her duties include assessing
residents and interviewing staff and family to complete
comprehensive assessments that follow Federal and state guidelines;
these assessments are used to develop a care plan that meets
residents’ needs. She also facilitates Medicare meetings, care plan
meetings and Prospective Payment System meetings, and trains new
MDS coordinators when needed.
What she likes most about her job, in addition to helping her
patients and traveling, is the administrative work she finds
waiting for her upon arrival, especially when she enters a facility
she’s never been to before.
“I enjoy organizing and completing projects, training new MDS
coordinators and seeing the process coming together,” she says.
She believes the keys to success in her field are listening to
people and caring about what’s happening in their lives. “That goes
a long way in making the stays of my residents successful,” she
says.
“I have also learned much about life and our country by
listening to the stories of the residents that we serve. They have
great strength and humor and add to my experience as a travel MDS
coordinator.”
